Chaos Obliterator Conversion Step by Step

This is a moderate level conversion mainly because it requires
working with tiny pieces. Watch your fingers!

Colossus Robot
The Colossus Robot forms the main body of the Obliterator. First cut off the reddish colored parts. Be careful when cutting, you want to try and keep the top gun in one piece because it is used later on. Also the right gun arm is only cut where the shoulder pad fits, so do not cut the gun off (there are pictures that show this further down in the instructions). Do this to all three robots. Chaos Terminator
Next cut the shoulder pads off the Chaos Terminator. For one set of shoulder pads keep the Powerfist attached to the shoulder pad. Do this to all three Chaos Terminators. You should have five shoulder pads and one shoulder pad with a Powerfist. (click on the image for a larger picture).
Ork Nob
Then cut the gun arm off the Ork Nob. The gun arm will need a bit of filing to clean it up. (click on the image for a larger picture).
Obliterator Assembled

Now it is time to take all these tiny pieces and begin gluing them into place. First glue the shoulder pads into place on the Obliterator bodies. I found that you can put the shoulder pads on either arm and they look fine. Plus it keeps them from matching the Chaos terminators exactly. The right shoulder pad takes a bit of work filing the Obliterator right gun arm so the shoulder pad fits right. click on the image to see how I filed mine.

To create the different weapons an Obliterator can have I did a different weapon in each of the three Obliterators' right arms. One is the Powerfist. The other two weapons are the Ork Nob gun arm and the top cannon you cut off of the Colossus Robot. You can easily find other substitute weapons in the Epic range that will work just as well.

The Ork Nob gun arm is turned upside down and the clip on the gun is now the arm to be glued to the shoulder pad on the Obliterator.

The Colossus cannon is also turned upside down and attached to the remaining shoulder pad.

Once everything dries, glue the three Obliterators onto a stand. (click on the image for a larger picture).

Obliterators with Green Stuff

Now for the Chaos mutated fleshy bits. Take a small piece of Knead-A-Tite and mix the blue & yellow halves together. Just smooth out little pieces of Knead-A-Tite onto random areas of the Obliterators. Then take a needle or exacto and drag it through the Knead-A-Tite creating tiny lines to give the fleshy mutated muscle look. I worked on each Obliterator one at a time when using the Knead-A-Tite.

That is it. The Obliterator stand is finished!!! (click on the image for a larger picture).
